Ministry & the Liturgical Assembly:The Mission of and Care for the Worshiping Body of Christ

Sponsored by All Saints Catholic Parish

Do we truly understand what it means for us and for the world, that we are members of the worshiping Body of Christ? And do those who serve in the various liturgical ministries view their roles as support and care for the liturgical assembly and its mission? Come to this series on liturgy and liturgical ministry, which will explore the depth and richness of our liturgical identity and mission as members of Christ’s Body, and the power and spirituality of sharing one’s ministerial gifts in service to the assembly.

Meeting the Rest of the Family: An Introduction of Judaism with Bishop Richard J. Sklba.

At the heart of many forms of contemporary Judaism lies the First Covenant’s conviction of Gods’ loving covenant on Sinai with people of Israel (Exodus 19-24). The prophets praised those who were faithful and condemned those were not. Psalms sang of God’s goodness and justice. One cannot understand Jesus or the New Testament without appreciating the gift of its earlier partner.

The Gospel According to Paul with Rev. Juan Manuel Camacho

Saint Paul is the first follower of Christ who reflected and wrote on the Christ event: passion, death and resurrection. He used the word “gospel” for the first time in Christian writings to refer to what God has done for Humanity in Christ Jesus. His zeal and commitment to Christ took him to foreigner lands to proclaim the Salvific action taken by God through Christ for all humanity. Saint Paul was prolific apostle of the Gospel of Christ and a founder of many communities of believers.
