Training in Evangelization and Intentional Discipleship With Author and Teacher, Sherry Weddell

Since the publication of her thought-provoking 2012 book, “Forming Intentional Disciples: The Path to Knowing and Following Jesus,” Sherry Weddell has been traveling the globe spreading her message about evangelization and intentional discipleship.

Sherry Weddell co-founded the Catherine of Sienna Institute with Fr. Michael Sweeney, O.P., to equip parishes to form lay Catholics for their mission in the world.

To further our local commitment to evangelization and forming intentional disciples, Sherry Weddell is coming to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee on three separate occasions to provide training based on the ideas and practices in her book.

The intended audience is anyone and everyone who cares about evangelization and intentional discipleship! Parish evangelization leaders and teams should especially consider their attendance as a necessary requirement for their mission. Parishes who have yet to start an evangelization initiative should definitely attend to jumpstart their efforts!

Each of the three trainings will be different and will provide new content related to evangelization and forming intentional disciples. So please sign up for all three training experiences if possible. However, you may also attend just one or two of the trainings if that is what your schedule permits. Each event will be a stand-alone experience. Specific descriptions for each session will be added to this page in mid-summer.

The trainings will take place at the Archbishop Cousins Catholic Center (3501 S. Lake Dr., St. Francis, WI, 53235) from 8:30-4:30, on Saturdays, September 28, 2013, November 9, 2013, and January 18, 2014.
