About the Presenter - Alenjandro Aguilera-Titus is the Assistant Director of the Secretariat of Cultural Diversity in the Church, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. He has twenty five years of experience in ministry with strong emphasis on leadership development and formation, catechesis, and pastoral planning.

 

Overview of the Day - We are a church of diverse people.  From the early days our church has been serving people from various cultures.  We are continually challenged with how to integrate people of different backgrounds to work together as one community.

This workshop is for parish staff members as well as other parish leaders and will explore stages to developing a culturally diverse community.  Alejandro Aguilera-Titus will focus on practical steps of outreach, hospitality, and forming ministers.  He will also delve into areas of building relationships, championing leadership development, achieving a positive decision making process, and developing a sense of ownership and stewardship.
