Pentecost Mission

Pentecost MissionThe Pentecost Mission provides education and discernment programs aimed at adult Catholics who want to grow in the knowledge of their faith and deepen their relationship with God and the Church. This program offers foundational courses of the Catholic faith and was begun by the John Paul II Center in 2007.

The Saint Clare Center for Ministry Formation at Cardinal Stritch University took on the main responsibility for the Pentecost Mission in the spring of 2008. The John Paul II Center continues to collaborate with the Saint Clare Center in promoting the Pentecost Mission and other programs for lay ministers.

The Pentecost Mission programs may be taken for:

• Personal enrichment
• Discernment for lay ministry foundation
• Foundational courses for those interested in diaconate formation
• Basic certification for catechists or Catholic-school teachers
• Maintenance of certification for those involved with Religious Education or Catholic schools

The Saint Clare Center for Ministry Formation at Cardinal Stritch University provides the Pentecost Mission as well as other education and formation opportunities for lay ministers and leaders who function in parish and societal ministries for the Catholic Archdiocese of Milwaukee. The Center is named for Saint Clare of Assisi, who, with Saint Francis, began the Franciscan tradition upon which Stritch is founded.
