The invitation to Siena Center, Racine, Wisconsin is an invitation to “Come to the water”. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan in the motherhouse of the Racine Dominicans, the retreat wing is a large facility with several large meeting rooms and additional smaller rooms. It features indoor and outdoor labyrinths, a large chapel , a smaller retreat chapel, a library, and a bookstore and gift shop. Clean, spacious, and full of beautiful art and sacred objects, the environment of the center is truly one of hospitality and inspiration. Outdoors the lake, sometimes still and serene, other times restless with crashing waves, provides a constant backdrop of life-giving energy. Trees, gardens, prairie plantings, walking paths, and strategically placed benches all offer the opportunity to become regrounded in God through earth.
