Courage of Southeastern Wisconsin is a local chapter serving Catholic men and women in the Milwaukee and Southeastern Wisconsin area under the guidance and support of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
A typical Courage meeting begins with prayer and with an opportunity for individual Confessions. Next, each member is invited to “check in” — to say briefly how he is feeling and what successes or challenges he may have experienced recently. The chaplain often gives a short talk on a spiritual topic or in response to some of the issues raised during the “check in”. Then there is time for open discussion, either on some of those issues, on a particular Goal of Courage, or on some other topic that relates to the shared struggles of the members. When the discussions are concluded, the meeting ends with prayer. Often the meeting is followed by time for socializing, over a meal or some other activity.

EnCourage meetings are similar, but not the same to Courage meetings, and are exclusively for family, friends and loved ones of people with same sex attraction. Typical meetings involved prayer, discussion and open discussion. Often the meeting is followed by socialization, or a meal or activity.
EnCourage helps members to focus on their own spiritual development with the goals of achieving peace and complete trust in God’s Providence and His love for us and for the ones we love. EnCourage offers a supportive, confidential environment to share feelings, experiences, information and guidance for maintaining healthy relationships with our loved ones with same sex attractions.
If you love our faith and also your loved one with same sex attraction, you do not have to feel confused or isolated any longer. Be welcomed by a group of committed Catholics who understand your sufferings and who will walk and pray with you on this journey.
