Milwaukee Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women (MACCW)
We are an organization united to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, in leadership, and in service, consistent with the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church. Founded on December 8, 1920, our membership consists of parishes or individual women of faith and action. You can become deeply involved or just enjoy the benefits of membership and know that you support an organization that is working to make a difference in an indifferent world.
We are women of action. Our goals are to help women to be a presence in their parish and community and to offer an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth; to stimulate the work of existing Catholic women’s organizations to greater service in meeting the issues of the day. This is accomplished through seminars, workshops, conventions and opportunities for spiritual formation. Join us for one of our many upcoming events such as, days of reflection, church tours, Layette dinner, annual convention and service opportunities. Watch the website for details.
Through our National Affiliation we bring the values and voice of American Catholic women to meetings of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, the World Union of Catholic Women’s Organizations, the United Nations Department of Public information, Catholic Relief Services, and other national Catholic organizations serving the needs and interests of women and children.
